The Coach is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the technical, tactical and physical curriculum which prepares the players for successful competition within the Eastern Ontario District League under the Long Term Player Development (LTPD) guidelines. This is a temporary position which requires evening hours, as well as weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of two years of coaching experience, preferably at developmental stages (U9 to U18).
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong motivational abilities and a commitment to fair play.
Must be of good character and have demonstrated a high caliber ofleadership, sportsmanship and coaching performance.
Preferred certifications: Soccer 4 Life, Learn 2 Train, as well as other minimum requirements such as but not limited to Respect in Sport, Making Headway and Ethical Decisions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing the overall athletic plans (long range to daily lesson plans) to maximize player and team development, following the LTPD guidelines.
Preparing offensive and defensive strategies and systems.
Identifying and recruiting players from the community.
Maintaining effective communications and administrative systems amongst coaches, players and staff.
Respecting and supporting EODSA, ERSL and Ontario Soccer policies and procedures.
Motivating and mentoring players to succeed.
Must have proof of eligibility to work in Canada.
