Group 8 - $28.85 to $33.49 per hour (Subject to Review)

Characteristic Duties:
Under the supervision of the Business Development Officer.
1. Assist clients with business registrations.
2. Guide, advise, and counsel clients through start-up procedures, business planning, market research, regulations, and available resources.
3. Direct clients to appropriate agencies, partners and resources.
4. Develop, co-ordinate and deliver youth entrepreneurship related initiatives, special events, seminars, workshops, presentation materials and programs (e.g. Summer Company).
5. Liaise with the relevant contacts and stakeholders in the delivery of young entrepreneurship related activities.
6. Develop, implement and deliver internal/external communications strategies and marketing material to promote all Youth Business Programs and the Regional Business Centre's services.
7. Conduct surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of programs, monitor client satisfaction, and recommend changes.
8. Track internal statistics on activities, job creation, start-ups, expansions and investments as well as input data as required by government agencies and community partners.
9. Assist in the preparation of reports for various partners of the Regional Business Centre and the Investment and Business Development Section.
10. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS's Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
11. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in a related discipline (e.g. Business Administration, Marketing, Economic Development) from a recognized institution with Canadian accreditation.
Over six (6) up to and including twelve (12) months of directly related experience.
Demonstrate skills and ability related to the use of information technology including Windows based systems, word processing, database, spreadsheet applications, internet search engines and social media platforms.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate organizational and analytical skills.
Demonstrate the ability to provide excellent customer service.
Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
Work outside regular office hours as required.
Satisfactory health, attendance, and former employment history.
Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.
French verbal and written skills an asset.
Must be physically capable and prepared to safely operate a vehicle, possess a valid driver's licence, have an acceptable driving record, and personal insurance coverage.

Development opportunity range of pay: $28.04 to $32.82 per hour (Subject to Review). The successful candidate will be paid at the reduced range until the minimum qualifications have been met.
