Job Title:

Youth Programs Animator

This position requires the animator to be on-site, in person, to provide direct support to the members. The regular work schedule is between Tuesday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, based on program needs.

Brief :

The role of the youth animator (13-18) including young adults (18+) is to plan, organize, animate and evaluate all activities in conjunction with the goals of the Youth Programs.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the safety and security of online, virtual and on-site programs Responsible for the planning, evaluation, animation and participation of designated activities Attend and participate in all team meetings and training Complete all forms (program surveys, program evaluations, incident reports, etc.) as needed and submit to the coordinator immediately Provide appropriate support, promote healthy boundaries and initiate preventive measures amongst the members and participants Follow Dawson and BGC online/virtual/on-site programming policies Perform other assigned tasks as requested by supervisor or leadership staff Ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years or older

High School Diploma and currently enrolled in Post-Secondary in a related field

Must be dynamic, mindful and enjoy working with youth

Must pass a criminal background check

Experience working with marginalized communities - highly preferred

Bilingualism: English/ French

First aid and CPR certification (an asset) or willing to complete a training

Strong organization, activity planning and implementation skills

Pay: $16.10-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 25 per week
