A Youth Leader is to supervise, instruct and lead participants in YMCA program in a manner that reflects the Core Values and Mission of the Association.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Direct leadership and supervision of children in program setting
Role model excellent member service
Ensure quality assurance in the delivery of programming
Respond to parent/children's concerns in a positive and professional manner
Provide exceptional attention to Health & Safety and supervision of children
Plan and deliver a wide variety of activities for groups each week
Actively engaged with children 100% of the time in program delivery
Build relationships with child and parents
Contribute to the healthy child development
Role model the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility & inclusiveness through interactions with children, parents and staff
What you will bring to the position:
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Current First Aid and CPR Level C
Previous experience working with children and youth beneficial.
