Title

: Youth Program Facilitator

Hours

: 37.5 Hours - Full Time (1 year Contract) - must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Reporting Line

: Reports directly to the Youth and Employment Services Manager

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

:

Some University or College degree or relevant education/training and experience in counseling, humanities, and/or social sciences

Experience supporting vulnerable youth one-to-one, and in group settings.

Facilitation to varied audiences, including children, youth & adults.

Fluency in English and French (verbal and written) necessary.

Competence in computer applications is essential, minimum Microsoft Office Suite; and knowledge of web-based materials, databases and social media.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Employee performs duties within established vision, mission, policy guidelines, goals and objectives, and has primary responsibility for delivery of the Brave YW project, including related youth programs and services.

Represent the YWCA core values and ethics in all community relations

Transfer information between staff, volunteers and public to ensure smooth running of operations

Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and workshops

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the strategic direction of YWCA Moncton

Advance the Mission of YWCA Moncton

Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of work environment, including office, and storage room/unit, and program spaces

All employees are to perform other duties as assigned that may, or may not, be directly related to their current position of employment

Program Delivery



Work closely with Brave YW and agency team members to ensure program outcomes are being met

Collaborate with Brave YW team to develop mentorship models, screening tools and application process required for the project, and policies/protocols

Facilitate one-on-one case mentorship, group programs, resource referrals, and other activities that align with outcomes

Facilitate presentations to individuals and groups on topics including healthy relationships, digital and online safety, and commercial sexual exploitation of children and youth.

Actively seek opportunities to share knowledge with possible participants about the project.

Ensure that community members, partners and stakeholders are aware of programs and services provided by YWCA Moncton

Identify and develop additional resources for the program and its participants

Engage stakeholders to advance the outcomes of the project.

Individual Client Work



Provide active-listening, crisis management, and one-on-one sessions for potential youth victims and youth victims of sexual exploitation and/or human trafficking

Assist, encourage, and support clients/participants in the identification of their personalized action plans and the accomplishment of their personal and professional goals

Keep detailed case notes of all clients/participants, clearly documenting their needs, goals, and referrals made

Make appropriate referrals to outside service providers, when required

Consult with supervisor with regards to clients'/participants' progress, behavior, challenges, and supports required

Data Collection and Reporting



Keep and input stats on attendance to all programs activities

Compile monthly statistical reports

Enter data into database

Conduct regular evaluations and surveys to learn the impact of our services and the community's needs

Ensure that short-term and long-term project objectives and outcomes are met, as delineated in funder's agreements

Special Condition of Employment

: Must be able to successfully complete vulnerable sector/criminal record and social development checks, and must have a vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
