CityKidz is seeking an organized and reliable individual to oversee the CityYouth program administration, communication and logistics for scheduled Wednesday evenings throughout the fall and spring seasons. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, has strong communication and administrative skills, and can manage multiple tasks in a busy program environment.

Profile: The CityYouth Program Administrative Assistant is a seasonal part-time contract position, reporting to the Associate Director and is responsible to oversee all program administration, communication and logistics during the Wednesday evening CityYouth Program. They play the role of the host and provide valuable information and guidance that helps the program run smoothly. In addition to Wednesday Command Centre, they support the Coordinator of Youth Programs by providing assistance with some weekday administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and manage the Command Centre (administration, logistics and communication desk) for Wednesday night youth programs
  • Assist with the creation and updating of youth programming bus routes
  • Assist with CityYouth communication (eg. Emails, phone calls, Instagram)
  • Assist with the preparation of youth program spaces
  • Assist with the preparation of youth program resources
  • Assist with processing CityYouth registration forms
  • Record CityYouth attendance
  • Assist with CityYouth office tasks (eg. Photocopying, mailings, data management)

Qualifications and Demonstrated Skills:
  • Comfortable working in a faith-based organization
  • Strong connection to the mission of CityKidz
  • Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Demonstrated experience with event logistics
  • Confident decision making abilities
  • Ability to demonstrate collaborative problem solving
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent organization, task, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Ability to make positive connections and relationships with team members
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to conduct phone calls in a professional manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Employment Type:
  • Part-Time, Seasonal Contract Position, with potential for extension
  • Approximately 10hrs each week from Sep. to Dec. 2022

Employment Schedule:
  • Program Wednesdays 2:00pm - 10:00pm: Sep. 14, 21, 28, Oct. 12, 19, 26, Nov. 9, 16, 23, 30, Dec. 7
  • Additional office hours as scheduled
