U Multicultural is a community-based TV and radio broadcaster located in Winnipeg, serving diverse ethnocultural and Indigenous communities. We are expanding our digital presence and seeking a creative and technically skilled professional to lead this transformation.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated specialist based in Winnipeg to redesign our website and establish our digital TV channels on major platforms including Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Google TV.

Key Responsibilities:

Redesign and modernize the U Multicultural website with user-friendly navigation, integrated multimedia content (TV, radio, podcasts), and multi-language support. Develop and deploy OTT (Over-The-Top) applications for Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Google TV. Ensure seamless integration of both live and on-demand streaming content. Optimize UX/UI for accessibility, responsiveness, and multicultural representation. Collaborate with our internal media and communications team. Provide technical documentation and basic training for our staff as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in modern web design and development (WordPress, Webflow, or equivalent CMS). Demonstrated experience launching and maintaining OTT applications (please provide portfolio/examples). Strong understanding of media streaming technologies (e.g., HLS, RTMP, CDN integration). Excellent communication and project management skills. Knowledge of accessibility and cultural representation in digital design is a strong asset.

Preferred Assets:

Experience with nonprofit or community media organizations. Familiarity with Indigenous and ethnocultural communities in Manitoba. Multilingual skills.
