Employment: Part Time (20+ hours per week)



Compensation:$17.50-21.00/hr

Street Culture Project is hiring Youth Transition Unit (YTU) Mentors to support youth ages 13-24 as they work toward stability and independence. In this role, you'll walk alongside youth in their daily routines, model healthy habits, and build relationships that foster accountability, growth, and hope.

What You'll Do





This role is about steady presence and meaningful mentorship. You'll be part of a team that helps youth build the confidence and skills they need to navigate life's next steps -- from cooking and budgeting to finding housing and employment.



You'll:


Build safe, trusting, and respectful relationships with youth Support youth with daily living, goal setting, and life-skills development Help youth access community resources and navigate challenges Model consistency, boundaries, and positive decision-making Work collaboratively with other mentors and case management staff to ensure coordinated support



What You Bring





We're looking for someone who leads with empathy, patience, and accountability.


High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary in youth work, social services, or related field an asset Experience supporting youth with complex needs (paid or volunteer) Strong communication, relationship-building, and teamwork skills Ability to balance compassion with healthy boundaries Commitment to SCP's core approaches: Trauma-Informed Practice, Harm Reduction, Youth-Centred Care, and Strength-Based Mentorship Training such as CPR/First Aid, ASIST, Mental Health First Aid, or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (asset)



Additional Requirements




Valid SK Driver's Licence with clean abstract Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance (or willingness to obtain) Flexibility for day, evening, and weekend shifts
