1. At-risk youth, high-risk youth, and youth with complex needs
2. Family reunification for Indigenous families
3. Youth with a disability focus

AVAILABLE SHFITS
1. 12-hour Full-Time
Awake
Overnight Shift. Weekends as needed. ($24.00 - $28.00/hr)
3. 12-hour casual shifts. Must be available days, evenings, awake overnights, and weekends. Must work a minimum of 24hrs/month. ($22 - $25/hr)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Observes, assesses and documents significant behaviours emitted by persons served(s) in the Logbook and reports.
Creates and designs age appropriate, daily living activities as a forum for therapeutic and educational interventions.
Initiates, organizes, monitors and actively participates in group activities, (special outings, concerts, sports, dances, party games, crafts, camping, music) as part of the treatment plan.
On an ongoing basis, observes and assesses interactions, behaviours and affect.
Teaches and assists persons served in acquiring appropriate skills relating to daily chores, routines, and personal hygiene habits
Escorts persons served to medical, dental and optical appointments as necessary.
Advocates and actively builds trust and rapport with persons served, their family, and supports through intentional interventions.
Intervenes in crisis situations, utilizing non-abusive restraint practices as necessary.
Maintains a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach to behaviour management and explains behavioural expectations and consequences.
Prepares and cooks meals for persons served and staff, with support from the persons served in accordance with the Canada Food Guide.
Cleans the house using universal precautions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Four-year degree
in social work, child and persons served care, or related discipline (mental health, human services, etc.) from an accredited institution
OR
Two-year diploma
in social work, child and persons served care, or related discipline (mental health, human services, etc.) from an accredited institution AND a minimum of
two years' experience in related work
OR
Active enrolment in a related educational program
AND a minimum of
two years' experience in related work
Valid Class 5 drivers license, vehicle registration, and vehicle insurance
A vehicle in good, safe, working condition
to transport clients
Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector
Clear Intervention Record Check
5-year Drivers Abstract
Standard first aid, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention training are an asset, however, courses are offered after commencement.These are conditions of employment and the financial responsibility of the candidate
Persons with a diploma or degree from other human services disciplines will be considered for employment if they have extensive relevant experience or specialized skills.*
