To Provide high quality programs and services to children and families in accordance with the Mission and Values of the
Bay St. George YMCA

Responsibilities
Strict adherence to the YMCA's Child Protection Policy
To interact directly with the children and act as professional role models for children, volunteers, students and fellow staff
To plan and implement a consistent child focused program in accordance with YMCA policy and Procedures
To communicate effectively with children, parents, school representatives and staff
To incorporate physical fitness and healthy living activities into the daily program schedule
To meet the physical demands of YMCA Kids Camp programs; specifically to walk 5 kilometers at a moderate pace and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
To observe and record daily activities
To maintain a neat, orderly and clean environment, including all activity areas, and washrooms.
To ensure that all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to YMCA requirements.
To release children only to those authorized by parent or guardian, to ask for identification in order to ensure that the authorized pick-up has been verified.
To maintain confidentiality of all information related to the center, the children, their families and staff.
To maintain regular attendance, punctuality, attend scheduled monthly staff meetings and to be appropriately dressed and well groomed.
To work together as an integral part of a team, providing support and encouragement to each other.
To complete any other duties as directed by your supervisor and be cross trained for front desk duties if required
