MWM environmental is looking to hire full-time permanent

Yard worker / Driver

for our

Souris

operation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the for a variety of equipment both at the landfill site and on the road collecting trash and recycling with different collection trucks.

Duties

Keeping the Yard tidy by picking paper and mowing the grass. Operating skid steer and other landfill equipment Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections and ensure all safety paperwork are maintained and completed as required. Perform work assignments received from the Supervisor in a timely manner, normally without close supervision. Prepare, maintain and present work orders, equipment maintenance, incident and safety reports as required, and communicate with Field Supervisor regularly. Promptly taking a proactive approach to assess and mitigate hazardous conditions to ensure that all safety and operational activities are successful. Operate multiple collection trucks when needed.

Qualifications

High School or GED equivalent is required. Class 3 licence or willing to obtain within 3 months

Skills and Experience

Previous waste collection industry experience is an asset. Proven organizational and time management skills and ability to adapt to changes in short notice. Clear communication and spotting techniques. Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sitting for extended periods of time, and repetitive movements. Shifts may require occasional extension to ensure work is fully completed.

Selected candidate will be required to complete a background check.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
