Fort McKay Group of Companies LP is currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Technician for Fort McKay Logistics LP. The incumbent is to conduct all activities in a manner that supports the mission, vision and values of the Fort McKay Group of Companies LP. Reporting directly to the Team Leader, the Yard Tech is responsible for the loading and offloading, locating, and staging of material in a timely and economical manner to meet desired deadlines. This is a temporary position lasting approximately three (3) to nine (9) months located north of Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties, Responsibilities and Skills required:

• Pre-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment
• Pick up material from all warehouses
• Delivering material to site locations
• Operate forklift, zoom boom, and 1-ton truck
• Load and unload material from delivery trucks
• Return stock items to warehouse
• Prepare material and bring to shipping
• Put material away in correct location
• Locate and stage material
• General housekeeping duties as needed in the yard
• Logistics Turnaround Yard; 4- 10\xe2\x80\x99s schedule; days only

Minimum Qualifying Requirements:

• Grade twelve (12) Diploma or GED equivalent is required
• Retention of a valid Class five (5) driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
• Clean five (5) year drivers abstract required
• Minimum one (1) year experience is required
• Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS and OSSA or BSO) is required
• Forklift certification is required
• Ability to speak, write and read English is required
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Working Conditions:

There are occasions when the individual may come into contact with dust due to the site\xe2\x80\x99s conditions and with fluids from the vehicles such as windshield washer, coolant and oil. Vehicle inspection regardless of weather conditions is required daily.
