Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a full-time Yard Supervisor at our Home and Building location in Swan River, MB.

What you'll do:

The successful candidate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service; providing leadership to all yard Team Members; the organization, co-ordination, direction and cleanliness of the yard and yard warehouses areas under their jurisdiction. Core duties will include, but are not limited to:


Fill orders and receive freight as required. Keep Team Leaders informed of inventory problems relating to wrong identifications, discrepancies, adjustments, out-of-stock items, overstocked or slow-moving items and other problem areas. Assist in the proper care and maintenance of all department equipment and maintain cleanliness and order of merchandise in the yard. Perform onboarding and orientation with all new yard Team Members including training, developing and supervising Team Members. To set an example to other Team Members by strict adherence to personnel policies and departmental procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You have excellent customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to problem solve. You have previous leadership experience. You have a class 5 driver's license. You have the ability to operate heavy duty equipment while ensuring safety rules and regulations are followed. You can fulfill physical job requirements - manual labour and occasional heavy lifting is required. You are able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends. You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do. You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
