to our customer site in Fort Hills. The
schedule is 8 days on, 6 days off with 12 hour days

Scope:
The role of Yard Labourer within the Supply Chain department supports logistics and yard operations by performing various manual labour tasks to support the movement of pipe and other materials within the yard according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards. Stock is tracked in an efficient and accurate manner This position works alongside equipment operators to load pipe onto truck beds according to customer inventory and material order details (i.e. picking slip) as well as to offload incoming.

Role and Responsibilities
Work alongside Loader Operators to load and unload tubular pipes onto trucks
Support Pettibone Operators to efficiently offload tubular products from railcars and clean debris
Spot for equipment operator and use cones to setup safe work area while equipment is moving pipe
Assist truck and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles
Perform other material handling activities such as counting, sorting, packing and unpacking
Ensure product quality comply with defined standards and reporting deviations
Carry out duties in an effective manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards
Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning equipment
Perform other duties as required, including, but not limited to effective yard and warehouse clean-up, yard maintenance, administrative duties
Experience
Minimum 2 year of manual labour experience handling tubular products (OCTG) required,
candidates with manual labour work experience in an industrial setting and inventory experience will be considered
Class 5 Driver's License, required
Skid steer operation experience and certificate, an asset
Railway Safety, Working at Heights required
Skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day; ability to walk / stand for duration of shift
Comfortable working outside for long durations in varied weather conditions
Experience and comfortability working from heights and around heavy equipment
Attention to detail is critical in the role
Punctual, reliable, and willing to work, overtime, on-call and weekends when required
Problem solving, decision making and effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting
Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure completion to meet deadlines
