Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking

Yard Helper

to join our team at Home Hardware. You'll be assisting with the handling, organization, and distribution of lumber and other building materials in our yard. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and being part of a team, this job is for you.

Responsibilities:

Assist customers and team members with loading/unloading lumber and materials. Safely operate forklifts and other yard equipment (training provided if needed). Support shipping and receiving by verifying and moving stock. Keep the yard organized, clean, and safe at all times. Assemble lumber orders and prepare for deliveries. Conduct daily equipment checks and report any issues. Work closely with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day yard operations. Helping with the yard inventory as per company guideline.

Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift. Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction, or lumber environment is an asset but not required. Basic Carpentry skills will be an asset. Experience with forklifts or heavy equipment is a plus (certification preferred but not mandatory). Must follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for outdoor work. Being able to work in various whether conditions. Valid Class 5 License required
