Homestar Building Supplies is seeking a dependable and motivated Yard Hand & Delivery Driver team member. This hands-on position involves delivering materials to job sites, assisting with loading and unloading trucks, and supporting yard and warehouse operations. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth, safe, and efficient flow of materials throughout our facility and to our customers.

What You'll Do:

Delivery Responsibilities

Safely deliver building materials to job sites Operate company vehicles in compliance with road and safety regulations Assist with loading and unloading trucks using proper lifting techniques and equipment Communicate professionally with customers and site personnel Ensure delivery documentation is accurate and complete Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report any concerns

Yard Responsibilities

Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the yard. Assist with handling and arranging skids, lumber, and inventory Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Issue and receive tools and supplies, keeping accurate records Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment Support daily yard cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance Perform general physical tasks, including lifting heavy items Participate in closing duties on a rotating schedule

What We're Looking For:

Valid Class 5 Driver's License is a must Experience operating a forklift (forklift certification is an asset) Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials safely Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Strong organizational and communication skills Basic understanding of safety procedures and tool usage Previous experience in a warehouse, lumber yard, or building supply environment is an asset Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork ethic
