YARD ASSOCIATE




Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Yard Associate ships and receives product, maintains stock and the yard in good condition. The Yard Associate operates forklifts, works with hand tools and various production equipment in order to provide support to our existing production team.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently move finished good and in-process material around site, in proper stock locations and on loading racks to be banded for shipment. Unloads material received, Coil, Beaver Stops, Guard Rail, Geotex materials, and other products Loads customer orders on loading rack and band for shipment or load directly on trucks, trailers. Ensures daily inspections and servicing of equipment is performed per Company Policy Maintains service log book and report any equipment issues to the Regional Manager Ensures all inventory placed in stock must be stored neatly and evenly; truck lanes must be free of obstructions. Take inventory of both finished goods and in-process material as required. Keeps dunnage in neat pile in designated area. Operates mobile equipment as needed. Cut bevels, pallet pipe, roll couplers, cut trap and arch pipe, as needed.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent Forklift certified, or ability to obtain certification Experience in a manufacturing setting Superior work ethic and team focused Basic math skills, working knowledge of metric measurements Excellent communication, both written and verbal Mechanically inclined to recognize potential problems with equipment Self-starter, working independently and with minimal supervision
