Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety. Operate X-ray equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results and any relevant medical history. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care plans. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and sanitized according to health regulations. Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and best practices in patient care.

Skills

Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to radiology and imaging procedures. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. Technical proficiency in operating X-ray machines and related equipment. Knowledge of safety protocols concerning radiation exposure and infection control measures.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
