As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations within the discipline of general X-Ray and CT, may support other modalities based on qualifications. As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered X-Ray Technologist coordinates, performs and evaluates diagnostic imaging examinations. Guides and directs clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment and provides patient care within the core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability. Rotation though other modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements maybe required. Schedule Work Hours days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays (standby as required)
Qualifications
1. Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology
2. Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario
3. Current BCLS registration
4. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
5. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills
6. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment
7. Evidence of participation in ongoing education & professional development
8. Membership in the CAMRT/OAMRS preferred
9. Minimum 2 years hospital experience preferred
10. Previous CT experience preferred
11. CT Imaging Certificate preferred.
