Writer/director

Winnipeg, MB, CA, Canada

Job Description

Writer/Director

You're a passionate storyteller who believes words and visuals can change how people see the world. Whether your background is agency copywriting, filmmaking, or both, you have a passion for story and the willingness to grow into areas you haven't yet mastered.

At Tripwire, our writers don't just write - they guide the vision, shape how stories are told, and help clients see themselves more clearly through their own narratives. Some days that means crafting crisp copy for an explainer video; other days it means sitting down with someone on camera or collaborating with a cinematographer to shape a cinematic moment. If you thrive at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and heart, you'll feel at home here.

Why Tripwire

The world is full of noise - endless content that clutters instead of connects. We believe there has never been a stronger need for story, both for our clients and for ourselves.

At Tripwire, we wear that belief proudly on our sleeves. In a world where so much meaningless content is being made, we've built our mission around helping purpose-driven organizations break through the clutter with story that matters. Our Strategic Storytelling process draws on both the science and the strategy of story - blending creativity, psychology, and purpose. We believe stories don't just sell; they inspire, connect, and make the world better. That's the badge we wear, and the work we want you to be part of.

Our Culture & B-Corp Commitment

We know the right people make all the difference, and we work hard to build a team where everyone belongs. As a certified B Corporation, we take pride in balancing profit with purpose - and that starts with our culture. Our team is made up of people from all walks of life, and every voice matters. Together, we collaborate with organizations that care about making the world a better place, helping them live into their purpose and break free from clutter and data-driven noise. The result? Work that makes life better -- for us, for our clients, and for the audiences their stories reach.
