Position: Workshop Technician
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, results oriented, and attentive to customer and staff needs. The individual will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to providing leading edge customer service in a fast past environment. Strong listening and comprehension skills as well as the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively are necessary
Critical tasks and description to undertake:
Moulding / Encapsulation:
Under the supervision of the workshop manager the successful candidate primary responsibilities will be producing and testing of subsea cable assemblies
Produce cables and connectors for the offshore sector and other underwater products
Perform assembly and construction of cable systems - including soldering of cables
Participate in the production of waterproof mouldings for cables and connectors using polyurethane (PUR)
Ad-hoc assignments in the Workshop
Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
Strong experience in Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan, set priorities and see all duties through to completion.
Valid driver's license.
Must live in Nova Scotia
