Summary
The Working Foreman leads a Construction Team in the day-to-day onsite tasks. The Working Foreman takes direction from the General Supervisor to complete the necessary tasks and duties for each respective job site assigned to them. The Working Foreman is expected to lead and supervise a team of up to 5 Skilled Workers and 5 Trainees with the support of their lead hand. The Working Foreman may also be paired with Trainees when on-site.

Requirements
Experience in the field of residential construction (5 years experience required)
Experience as a Lead Hand in residential construction (1-2 years minimum)
Valid G License and satisfactory driving record
Experience leading/coaching/training an asset
Responsibilities
Leads a team of Lead Hands, Labourers and Trainees to complete high-quality and efficient work on assigned construction projects. Construction work includes, but is not limited to demolition & cleanup, concrete work, framing, insulation & drywall, painting & staining, tile & flooring, trim & doors, exterior finishes (windows, siding, roofing, soffit, fascia) and landscaping
Provides timely and accurate communication to General Supervisor regarding the status of the job; completes daily logs/reports.
Ensures all materials, tools, PPE and equipment required to complete a job is on site each day - prepare and submit material lists in advance
Unlocks and locks work sites
Communicate effectively with all team members
Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations
Health and Safety Management
Enforce the Health & Safety policies
Communicate any Health & Safety concerns/opportunities for improvement to HR & the JHSC (Joint Health & Safety Committee)
Working Conditions and Equipment Required
Able to drive safely and work in all weather conditions indoors and outdoors
Able to Lift and move heavy materials and equipment over 50lbs
Ability to stand for long periods of time
40 Hour Work Week - Occasional hours outside schedule may be required
Must have basic hand tools, steel toed shoes, hard hat and a smartphone
Must have reliable personal transportation.
