Program Overview
The Toronto Youth Job Corps (TYJC) program helps vulnerable youth between the ages of 15 and 30 gain sustainable employment through skill development and life skills training. A 5-week pre-employment training program, skill assessment, and community project experience leads to an 8-16 week subsidized work placement, with the goal of securing full time employment with the same or a different employer. Staff typically work with sector partners to place participants in various job placements, monitor their performance, provide structured feedback and assess suitability for full time employment.
