to join our team. You will be reporting to the Human Resources Manager. As a Workforce Planning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing the production workforce. The workforce includes slaughter, evisceration, packaging, and shipping. The optimization includes production scheduling, training and development, vacation planning and attendance management. As the Workforce Planning and Development Manager you will:
Be responsible for the development and management of the production training budget.
Communicate with production departments to ensure all positions are covered by department and shift.
Post positions and weekly sign-up sheets.
Manage the unionized vacation program in accordance with the collective agreement.
Monitoring the attendance line and fill positions as needed from the general production worker list.
Manage a leave of absence request.
Manage attendance in accordance with the Unionized Attendance Management Program.
Support production supervisor to maintain consistent application of corrective action process related to the attendance management program.
Monitor the overall requirement for production training by identifying and assessing future and current training requirements.
Manage and guide the trainer(s) to deliver and document overall training requirements.
Participate in the recruitment requirements, when required.
Review and manage New Employee Probation Report.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in human resources studies or equivalent experience required.
Seven years of experience, including a minimum of three years in a leadership role preferred.
Working knowledge of collective agreements is required.
Ability to deal with people's information sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, confidentially, and professionally.
Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Team-player with excellent leadership skills, able to motivate others, negotiate effectively, and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work in a demanding environment where diligence and effective multi-tasking is essential.
