Reporting to the Operations Manager, Workflow Planning, the Workflow Control Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of flow standards pertaining to the process path they are assigned to. She/He will work together with operation leaders, to plan, then execute a shift, while escalating risks or standard work deviations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of workflow management, and has had prior experience working within a high volume operations setting. Responsibilities Workplace Safety (10%)

  • Manage a safe, organized, and clean work environment following 5S
  • Lead the adherence to health and safety procedures within the department
Workflow Organization (60%)
  • Provide support on the creation and daily execution of the 12 weeks rolling operation plan
  • Evaluate the performance of the automated flow control of operations and provide recommendations for future improvements with a focus on data and analytics
  • Control the daily workflow performance of the process path assigned, and ensure compliance with all operation metrics and service level agreements
  • Monitor and lead the solutions for troubleshooting workflow exceptions management, such as flow jams, outstanding tasks, resources idle time, etc.
  • Drive business goals such as overall volume plan, customer experience, and reducing lead-times and unnecessary process steps in the pursuit of continuous workflow, without disruption, within the process path assigned
  • Identify throughput and capacity constraints, developing scenarios, and propose successful solutions to optimize operation flow and resources within the FC
  • Develop, manage, and monitor FC performance reporting on quality, productivity, cost, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as provide suggestions to improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Process Improvements (30%)
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus in all areas and instill the principles of this culture
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify performance gaps and proactively implement changes to bridge said gaps
  • Remain abreast of industry best practices and act as a subject-matter expert in flow management tools, and processes, and how they interconnect with the different process paths within the FC Operations
  • Work with Managers and Peers on the implementation of continuous improvement strategies and problem-solving tools


Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics or a related analytical field
  • 2-3 years of supply chain experience in a high volume fulfillment centre or manufacturing operation
  • Data Science skill, including SQL experience, an asset
  • Flexible working schedule including weekends, days, evenings, nights, overtime (Mandatory requirement)
  • Experience with automation within all aspects of the fulfillment process, an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma and ISO System, an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
