As the Workday Integration/Functional Analyst, you will work closely with our HR team for the ongoing development, administration, and support of our Workday platform. The role requires designing and implementing solutions, new enhancements, data gathering and solving issues. Workday areas that this role supports primarily include: Core HCM, Absence Management, Security, Integrations and Reporting

The Role:

  • Provide Workday subject matter functional expertise for new implementation of enhancements, day-to-day support (break/fix) and development including business process configuration, data upload (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support for Core HCM, Integrations, Absence Management, and Security globally
  • Recommends process improvements to realize efficiencies and competitiveness in our Workday system
  • Handles ad-hoc or complex mass uploads through EIB
  • Implements solutions to design, build, test and deploy business requirements focusing on integrations and security
  • Maintains training and communication material, may participate in delivery of training globally to all users
  • Develops and drives innovative and proactive change efforts for HR process improvements, including enhancements to end user experience
  • Partners with our internal HR, Finance and IT teams, external consultants, and vendors
  • Participates in deployment of new businesses: map current processes and data, identify gaps with Workday processes, recommend changes, define requirements, configure, test and validate changes
  • Assists with bi-annual releases, including analysis of impacts of new functionality, testing of integrations and cross functional up and downstream analysis
  • Builds Reports and Dashboards
About You:
  • 3-5 year's Workday experience, with strong security and configuration experience
  • University degree in the field of computer science, information systems and/or equivalent work experience, an asset
  • HRIS related courses/certifications (preferred)
  • Preferred: Workday Functional Certifications; Workday Pro certification in one or multiple HCM modules, and previous support experience Work Environment
  • Project management experience with global Workday projects
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong analytical mind; demonstrated critical thinking and analytic skills with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel experience required - working with a lot of data sheets and requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to tell the story of data being presented
  • Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the business needs and situation
  • Excellent collaborator and a team player
  • Well-developed root-cause analytical skills with the ability to configure and troubleshoot issues and defects
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information
  • Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
  • Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities
  • Ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Focus on quality and customer service
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones, as required by the global nature of this role
