Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to lead our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of shop operations, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires effective communication and the ability to motivate team members to achieve optimal performance.

Duties

Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules. Coordinate with management to set production goals and monitor progress towards achieving them. Train, mentor, and evaluate shop personnel, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Troubleshoot production issues, providing solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure proper maintenance and functionality. Maintain accurate records of production activities, employee performance, and inventory levels.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of shop operations, machinery, and safety standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with team members and management. Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, reporting, and inventory management is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 54 per week
