Wood's Homes is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven leader to oversee our Learning Centre Programs!

The Learning Centre Programs consist of an integrated, trauma-informed education and treatment model delivered in partnership with the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Catholic School District. These specialized programs support children and youth with complex social, emotional, and behavioural needs through a coordinated model of therapeutic and educational services.

Role:



Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Program Manager provides overall leadership across all aspects of program management--with a particular focus on program development, service quality, and upholding Wood's Homes' Health and Safety Management System. This role plays a central leadership function in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and client-centered care while navigating the operational and relational demands of a dynamic and multi-faceted service environment. This includes direct supervision of program leaders and clinical staff, as well as active collaboration with educators, families, and school board personnel. The ideal candidate brings clinical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to lead confidently while balancing diverse stakeholder needs. Responsibilities:



Leads and develops programs within the mission and values of Wood's Homes and in accordance with agency Policies and Procedures, Collective Agreement, Accreditation Standards, etc. Provide weekly supervision, staff training, evaluation, recruitment, and disciplinary action necessary within the guidelines set by Senior Management to all program staff. Ensures that approved clinical case management and record keeping procedures are practiced according to Wood's quality improvement guidelines. Assists/advises Managers, Supervisors and Programs with day-to-day operations as needed and shares regular on-call responsibilities for the agency. Regularly reviews all treatment interventions and case management used in the provision of treatment. Assumes responsibility for the development, review, and adherence of the program budget. Ensures staff completion of required Health & Safety training and compliance with OHS legislation--in addition to organizational safety strategies and policies. Participates in workplace inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe or unhealthy conditions, and that appropriate hazard controls are implemented; collaborates with staff and joint Health & Safety Committee to ensure corrective measures are monitored and effective. Executes other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Programs.

Qualifications:



Degree in Social Sciences or related field at the undergraduate level required (graduate preferred). Current proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees. Full class 5 driver's license or class 5 GDL driver's license with $2 million liability insurance. Drivers Abstract with no more than 6 demerits. Minimum of five year' highly developed supervisory skill. Experience supporting youth affected by complex trauma through an informed and high-level. understanding of family-based models. Experience in youth care and/or clinical work. Experience working with collaborative partnerships and essential stakeholders.
