Calling all UNB Forestry and Environmental Management students looking to enroll in FOR/ENVM4101! The Woodlands division is currently seeking highly motivated students to join our team as part of our new

Woodlands Operations Internship Program

. We are accepting scholarship applicants for paid work terms for summer 2026.


Under this program, you will have access to a variety of positions within the division that will give you an opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience while working with the industry's top leaders. Scholarship recipients will have access to accommodations, our student incentive program, and will receive a scholarship of $1000.00 at the end of the work term.

Scholarship Selection Process:



Apply to this posting by attaching a copy of your resume and completing application questions Submit a copy of your proof of enrollment to UNB's FOR/ENVM 4101 and university transcripts Applicant testing and interviews Scholarship winners announced one month prior to the start of each semester

Please Note:

To be considered for this program and awarded the scholarship, you must successfully submit your full application (including required documentation) and complete all stages of the candidate selection process. Positions are limited for the scholarship program and all UNB Forestry and Environmental Management students are encouraged to apply early.


UNB students who are actively employed by JD Irving Woodlands or who have already accepted an offer for summer/co-op employment, and meet the criteria, are encouraged to apply. The selection process for this scholarship is separate from our standard hiring processes. Any UNB Forestry or Environmental Management student is eligible to enroll for FOR/ENVM4101 and receive academic credit for any work term with JD Irving Woodlands even if they are not accepted into the scholarship program.



Education Required: Pre-requisite course ENMV3002 or FOR3000 and is or is planning to enroll in FOR/ENVM 4101. Students must have completed at least two full years of study to date. Recognition will be given for prior learning (transfer students). Students must maintain a GPA of 80%+Initiative-taker, attention to detail, punctual, reliable and flexible to changing tasks Goal - oriented, demonstrates initiative, and enjoys working in a team environment Demonstrated critical thinking skills and decision-making abilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Class 5 License required for certain positions
