We're looking for an
experienced assistant
to join our
Meadow Lake woodlands Division.
The Meadow Lake Woodlands Team
manages Tolko's tenure and fibre supply
in the
Prince Albert and Meadow Lake areas
of Central Saskatchewan,
covering an area of 2,560,737 hectares.
We are dedicated to sustaining these areas to the benefit of all who live and work there.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
High school diploma
or equivalent; post-secondary in
forestry or administration
an asset.
General
knowledge of the forest industry
and terminology is considered an asset.
Minimum
two years of relevant experience.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills.
Proactive approach
to
problem-solving
with strong decision-making capability.
Proven
ability to handle confidential information
with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate a high level of customer service.
Excellent computer skills
and proficiency with
Microsoft Office suite
and scaling
software (LIMS, WeighWiz, LoaderWiz).
In this role you will:
Operate in a safe manner
in accordance with work safe rules, regulations, and policies.
Maintain scales
to
ensure they are working properly
and
allow efficient flow of logging trucks
in and out of the log yard.
Operate computerized truck scales
to weigh loads accurately.
Verify load documentation
and ensure
compliance with timber and fiber specifications.
Issue scale tickets and maintain accurate records
in the scale management system.
Communicate with truck drivers and woodlands staff
to direct traffic and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with data entry,
reporting, and administrative tasks related to wood flow.
Organize and
maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
Assist in training and orientation
of
drivers
coming into the Tolko log yard.
Input data
to assist with various operational functions.
Provide troubleshooting support
, training and technical guidance to Woodlands staff.
