We are searching for a full-time Women Support Service Worker position requires you to be part of a service delivery team assisting immigrant and refugee women who are experiencing abuse.

What you will be doing:
Provide personalized support services for immigrant and refugee women experiencing domestic violence, including crisis intervention, safety planning, and emotional support.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand client needs, strengths, and risks; develop and implement individualized service plans in alignment with agency policies and professional standards.
Deliver settlement services tailored to newcomer women, ensuring integration of cultural, linguistic, and gender-specific considerations.
Facilitate group sessions, workshops, and information sessions in collaboration with partner agencies, promoting knowledge-sharing and peer support.
Build and maintain a network of community contacts; make appropriate referrals to specialized services such as legal aid, housing, health, and counseling.
Conduct active outreach to newcomer women of diverse ages and backgrounds, raising awareness of available services and promoting access.
Support capacity-building by raising public awareness on the issues of domestic violence and abuse, and by empowering women (including older women) to establish peer networks and community linkages.
culturally appropriate, gender-based frameworks to foster cultural safety and inclusivity for immigrant and refugee women across all communities served.
Collaborate closely with CCS Settlement Services, Transitional Housing and Support Worker Programs, and other CCS teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential client records, reports, and case notes in a timely manner, in accordance with agency and funder requirements.
Collaborate closely with the Program Manager to design, develop, and implement targeted initiatives and focus activities that respond to the diverse needs of newcomers. Examples may include specialized workshops or programs on financial literacy, youth engagement, women's empowerment, and other areas that promote successful settlement and integration.
Ensure the achievement of all assigned program goals and deliverables by effectively planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating activities, while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives, funder requirements, and the evolving needs of clients.
What are we looking for?
Diploma in Social Sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2-3 years of related experience in human services work, or equivalent
Proven experience in client-centred service delivery and case management
Strong cross-cultural communication skills when engaging with participants, partner agencies, and the public
Proficiency in data entry and case management software
Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt communication style to diverse audiences; proficiency in additional languages is considered a strong asset
Fluency in French considered an asset
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle considered an asset
Valid Social Insurance Number and legal entitlement to work in Canada under relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
Successful completion of a background check and/or vulnerable sector check upon hire

Compensation:
$29.67/hr to $33.02/hr based on experience
Hours of work:
35 hours per week, including Saturdays, occasional evening and overtime will be required
