Purpose



The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the park's technology infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted daily operations across all departments. This includes managing networks, servers, point of sale (POS) systems, radios, workstations, and on site software applications. The Systems Administrator plays a critical role in supporting frontline operations, troubleshooting issues quickly, and ensuring all systems operate safely, securely, and efficiently.



Key Responsibilities



Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot all park IT systems, including POS terminals, ticketing kiosks, access control systems, CCTV networks, staff scheduling platforms, and operational software. Perform daily system checks to ensure network uptime, security, and operational readiness. Provide on site technical support to all departments, responding to IT service calls and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Install, configure, and maintain hardware (computers, tablets, servers, switches, routers, printers, radios) and software used throughout the park. Support and manage staff access credentials, user accounts, privileges, and workstation configurations. Maintain and update park Wi Fi systems and internal communication networks. Assist with the setup, calibration, and maintenance of ride control technology, slide timing systems, and operational monitoring tools (training provided as needed). Ensure cybersecurity best practices by maintaining firewalls, monitoring system logs, applying patches, and safeguarding sensitive information. Oversee CCTV system functionality and coordinate footage retrieval as requested by Security or Management. Support seasonal system rollouts, including onboarding equipment, provisioning devices, network expansions, and system upgrades before opening day. Track and document IT inventory including hardware lifecycle, maintenance schedules, warranties, and replacements. Collaborate with external vendors and support teams when specialized repairs or escalations are required. Maintain detailed records of IT work orders, incident resolutions, configurations, and asset logs. Ensure all IT operations meet corporate, legislative, and safety compliance standards. Assist with emergency response by supporting communications equipment, system restarts, and technical diagnostics during critical incidents. Perform other duties as assigned to support park operations and IT initiatives.

Skills & Competencies



Strong understanding of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WiFi), server environments, and system administration. Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues quickly and accurately. Knowledge of POS systems, ticketing platforms, access control technologies, and surveillance systems (experience in attractions/hospitality is a strong asset). Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, data protection, and safe handling of sensitive information. Excellent communication and customer service skills; must be able to support both technical and nontechnical staff professionally. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Ability to document processes, system changes, and troubleshooting steps clearly and concisely. Comfortable using two way radios, incident reporting tools, and ticketing systems. Ability to troubleshoot under pressure during operational rush periods or system outages. Must be able to lift IT equipment (up to 50 lbs), crawl into confined spaces, and work at heights during installations when required.

Assets



Currently enrolled in, or?recently completed, a postsecondary program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field?OR?an equivalent combination of relevant hands on IT experience. Experience providing technical support in any setting (helpdesk, retail tech support, school IT lab, etc.) considered an asset. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot routine technical issues independently.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This position requires occasional work in or around water, confined spaces-cramped quarters, heights, noise, detergents/chemicals, mechanical hazards, moving objects, fumes/odours, dust, mists, gases, or vibrations. The noise level is generally moderate.
