Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Help team member to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, handle cashiering duties, and ensure a clean and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer interaction while contributing to a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Micros POS or similar systems Prepare food items according to established standards and safety guidelines Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change efficiently Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, including food prep surfaces and equipment Ensure food safety standards are consistently followed during food handling and serving Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when required Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly and accurately Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns professionally

Requirements

FULL AVAILABILITY DURING WINTER HOLIDAYS AND WEEKENDS

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
