The ICCIT invites applications from qualified candidates who are not current University of Toronto students.
Appointment dates: January1 to April 30, 2026 for 'S' courses.
Qualifications (unless specified): Must have completed formal education/experience specific to the subject area. Must be familiar with Quercus. Demonstrated teaching excellence and advanced technological skills are required. For marking positions, candidates must be able to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.
Duties (unless specified as marking positions may include but are not limited to one or more of the following): Conducting in-person tutorials and maintaining scheduled office hours, student e-mail contact, grading, invigilating, and clerical duties. Practical invigilation is required. The mode of instruction for the courses is in-person.

CCT206H5S Law, Technology and Culture
This course will provide a detailed review of copyright, trademark and patent law with a special emphasis on how they apply to digital media. This course will also review the law of contract as it applies to digital industries and investigate the relevant tort law. In addition, other regulatory issues will be discussed such as telecommunications and broadcasting law both from a Canadian and an international perspective.

Additional Qualifications: Applicants with graduate degree from a law school, business school, ischool, or equivalent will be considered based upon their transcripts and course experience. Overall academic performance of B+ (3.3 GPA) or above. Must have a minimum grade of an A (4.0 GPA) or above in a Business Law course, or equivalent course. Preferably completed a course on Technology Law (or equivalent courses) with a minimum grade of A (4.0 GPA). Research assistant or teaching assistant experience preferred. Writing sample of research. BCom/HBA-equivalent undergraduate degree. Previous evaluation of performance as an Assistant at the University (if applicable). Excellent computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
CCT250H5S Foundations of Digital Design and Production
Advances in technology have provided users ready access to empowering technologies enabling creative and enterprise digital production. This course provides hands-on skills on critical design and production suites and platforms used across industries and disciplines, centred on the development of industry-standard creative design.

CCT404H5S Remote Work, Technology and Collaboration
This project-based course aims to demonstrate how collaboration is a critical capability often overlooked. During the course students will integrate their learning and experience and first hand see how, in combination with collaboration it can lead to creatively solving problems in areas as varied as business, health care delivery, urban planning and development. In addition to lectures, students will have the benefit of a series of guest lecturers. A large, group based project will serve to integrate learning and allow students the benefit of experiential learning.

The rate of pay for a Sessional Instructional Assistant (SIA) is $54.27 per hour in accordance with CUPE 3902, Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Please note that should rates stipulated in the Collective Agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Please note: Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement rather than the Unit 3 collective agreement, and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.
