Job Description
Meadow Vista Honey Wines is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and work seasonally in our Wine Shop as well as pour at festivals, events and markets. Be a part of the fun and exciting craft beverage industry in the Okanagan.
As a small, artisan business, no day is the same!
Wine Shop Duties include:
Provide exceptional customer service in Wine Shop
Lead tastings for guests in Wine Shop
Maintain store appearance and cleanliness- stock product as needed
Take cash, debit and credit payments
Lead Daily Bee Tours
Assist in production of farm products as directed
Assist with Bistro as needed
Market & Event Duties
Provide exceptional customer service and tasting experience to customers at events
Attend events throughout the Okanagan
Set up and tear down of event booth or market tent as per MVHW specifications
Take cash, debit and credit payment
Track inventories
Responsible for pick and return of Market/Event items
This area is a high-sales focus and has a small incentive for high sales.
Experience:
Strong customer service skills
Strong sales skills required
Positive and friendly attitude
Strong work ethic
Flexible availability-able to work weekends and holidays
Physical ability to stock wine and stand for long periods
Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
Knowledge or interest in wine/meads an asset
Serving It Right certification required
Must have own vehicle
Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
