POSITION SUMMARY



We are seeking a versatile candidate who can balance daily operational support with system projects, development tasks, and ongoing infrastructure improvements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands?on IT support, server/network maintenance, and light development work.
The Windows System Administrator will be responsible for supporting daily IT operations, maintaining core infrastructure systems, and contributing to development and technical project initiatives. This role requires a balanced skill set across end?user support, server and network administration, virtualization, and basic .NET development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude, professionalism, and the ability to document processes and resolutions in a clear and consistent manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



The primary responsibilities for this position include, but may NOT be limited to the following -

Windows Server and Local System Maintenance



Perform routine maintenance and administration of Windows Server environments, including updates, patches, and backup monitoring. Manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), user provisioning, and access control. Support on?premises systems such as printers, shared drives, and local applications Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.

End?User Support and IT Helpdesk



Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for end users, including hardware, software, and account?related issues. Manage and resolve daily service tickets within established service?level expectations. Troubleshoot Windows desktop environments, peripherals, and standard business applications. Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and recurring support trends.

Development, Testing, and Technical Projects



Contribute to internal development initiatives using basic .NET coding skills (C#, ASP.NET preferred). Assist with application testing, debugging, and deployment activities. Provide technical support for custom applications and integrations. Collaborate with cross?functional teams on technical and process?improvement projects. Participate in in-person technical training.

Network and Virtualization Support



Provide basic support for network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and VPN. Assist with troubleshooting and monitoring of network performance and connectivity. Support VMware ESXi environments, including VM creation, configuration, and maintenance. Participate in network and virtualization?related projects and upgrades.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT



Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, and/or a closely related field. 3 - 5 years of experience in a System Administrator, IT Support, and/or related technical role.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS



Proficiency with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Strong knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and hardware troubleshooting. Foundational understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs). Familiarity with VMware ESXi or comparable virtualization platforms. Ability to read, write, and modify basic .NET code. Experience with software testing, deployment, and troubleshooting. Strong written communication skills with the ability to document procedures, configurations, and resolutions. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast?paced environment. Demonstrated customer?service orientation and professional communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT



Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Microsoft 365. Familiarity with ITIL practices or structured ticketing systems. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/INFORMATION



Must have a valid driver's license (Class G) in good standing and consent to additional security check(s) with valid IDs. Ability to travel to other Lakeside locations for IT projects related work.
