The Role

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation is looking for an experienced Windows Analyst to join our Infrastructure and Operations Team, based out of Winnipeg.



The Windows Analyst will play a key role in managing and optimizing the tools and infrastructure that supports Windows Servers and Microsoft cloud services across our organization. We're looking for someone who is a skilled Windows Administrator with a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services.



To be a great fit, you'll need to have a teamwork-focused mindset and strong communication skills, since you'll be working closely with our Data Center and Networking teams when trouble arises. You'll also be collaborating regularly with our Architecture and Cybersecurity teams to design and implement Microsoft based services and solutions. This role also needs to stay on top of industry trends and best practices for secure and cost effective cloud service management.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, we're looking for someone with:


A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3 years of experience in Windows Server and Azure administration, including virtualized environments (both on-prem and public cloud) Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, M365 and Azure services Experience troubleshooting and resolving Azure infrastructure issues and providing timely support updates. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of security hardening frameworks and practices. Experience with deployment, support and troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL Database Technologies, including Azure SQL Managed Instances. Experience with the following is considered an asset: + Veeam backup/recovery solutions
+ Scripting (PowerShell) for automation
+ Experience with VDI is an asset
