We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window/Door Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, service and and repair of windows and doors in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a history in window installation and a strong background in construction, carpentry, and related skills, ensuring that installations meet quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Job description

- Reporting to the General Manager, the

Lead Window and Door Installer/ Service Technician

is responsible for installation of windows and doors, along with performing service calls for existing product.

Qualifications

- This role requires someone with window experience, a carpentry background and knowledge of NS building processes and building codes. The ideal candidate has several years experience on a finish carpentry or framing team. The role is a mix of new construction/ renovation installs and service work. Both involve being in customers homes, so communication, politeness and a clean presentation are critical.

Other skills

- Applicants must have a clean driving record and be insurable.

Working conditions

- Indoor and outdoor work in all seasons. The product being installed range from a single small window to a patio door. Candidates will be required to work as a team to lift and maneuver windows in excess of 100 pounds. This is typically a Monday through Friday (8AM-5PM) job based out of Bayers Lake in Halifax and returning at night, though there may be some exceptions involving overnight travel or weekend work.
