Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Blind Installer and Repair Technician to join our team. This position involves the professional installation, maintenance, and repair of window blinds, shades, and other window coverings in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and hands-on experience with tools and measurements.

Key Responsibilities:

Install a variety of window coverings including venetian blinds, roller shades, vertical blinds, cellular shades, and motorized systems. Conduct on-site repairs and maintenance for damaged or malfunctioning blinds. Perform accurate measurements at client sites to ensure correct sizing and product fit. Troubleshoot installation or product issues and offer practical solutions. Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and client expectations. Communicate professionally with customers, addressing any questions or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work area. Complete required documentation such as work orders, installation checklists, and service reports. Coordinate with sales reps, office staff, and production teams for job scheduling and follow-ups. Follow all health and safety procedures and guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in blind installation, carpentry, finishing, or a similar hands-on trade is preferred. Must have own vehicle Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills. Comfortable working at heights (ladders/step stools) and with power tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed at customer locations and occasionally in a warehouse or showroom setting. May be required to lift and carry heavy blinds or ladders (up to 50 lbs). Regular travel within Lower mainland using your own vehicle. (mileage allowance) Some flexibility required for early mornings, late afternoons, or occasional weekends based on customer needs.
