Wind Turbine Technician I

Halkirk, Alberta - 30 min from Stettler, Alberta

A DAY IN THE LIFE

In this position you\'ll use your skills and experience to perform scheduled service, fault analysis/troubleshooting, and potential main component or blade work on wind turbines. This site has 83 - V90 1.8 mw turbines. During a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather. At this site in Halkirk, Alberta, you will typically have shifts 5 days a week at 8 hours a day, but you also will have an on-call rotation schedule for off-work hours (weekends). Plenty of overtime available. The team here normally works in teams of 2-3 and typically will climb 1+ turbines a day.
