Merovitz Potechin LLP is seeking a Wills & Estates Law Clerk to join our growing team.

Summary of position:

The ideal candidate will assist lawyers with a wide variety of will and estates matters. Work includes, but is not limited to organizing and independently managing client files; using the firm's internal document management system; interacting directly and diplomatically with counsel and other legal professionals outside of the firm, as well as with clients; and drafting documents, coordinating meetings, scheduling, and processing of accounts, corresponding with clients and external professionals, drafting documents

Required Qualifications:

Law Clerk or Paralegal degree or a significant amount of wills/estates work experience Minimum of 3 years experience working in the area of wills and estates Good verbal and written communication skills Superior interpersonal skills to interact with employees, lawyers, clients and external agencies Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision Professional, responsive and positive work attitude Ability to maintain filing systems and basic databases Meticulous records maintenance skills
