The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Captain for the Town's Wildland Urban Fire Interface Team. The WUI Team is one of several established in the Province of Alberta and deployed throughout the Province and Inter-provincially during the Fire Season.
In the off season and when not deployed the WUI Team Captain plays an integral part in the TOHL Fire Department responding to medical as a co-response and fire calls. Training and assisting along side our Paid On-Call Fire and Work Experience Fire Fighters, the Captain ensures the safety and skills of the Teams in providing competent Fire and Emergency Services to the Community residents, business and visitors. If you are someone that likes an environment where every day is different and wants to make an impact on our community, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
In exchange for your education, experience and enthusiasm and desire to make a difference, the Town offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits plan, $1,000 health spending account, $300 wellness account, a provincial pension plan, and starting with three weeks of vacation and a great team to work with. In addition to working with a great Team, we also offer a travel allowance of $6,250 per year.
