About The Opportunity

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will work with a team of intelligent, ambitious and hard-working software professionals. The candidate should have a passion for automation and optimization. The team is independent in driving all decisions and is responsible for the architecture, design and quick turnaround of development of our products with high quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create automation tools for creating, provisioning, and deploying servers.
  • Build tools to streamline the deployment process.
  • Configure and monitor data center infrastructure (load balancer, firewall, switches, instances, etc.).
  • Work closely with our CISO, Engineering Management, and DevOps team to build processes around security certifications.
  • Ideate and contribute to projects that increase overall performance of the engineering team.
  • Work with engineering team to optimize docker builds.
  • Bring expertise on troubleshooting application, database, and networking performance and failures.
  • Continually identify areas for process improvement in the production environment and develop appropriate resolutions.
  • Work in agile environment to quickly respond to feedback and issues.
  • Work closely with Engineering Management and Engineering Team to develop and execute team objectives and strategies.
Experience & Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a Linux-based SRE/DevOps role.
  • Strong experience with tools such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, etc
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration systems.
  • Strong experience with docker.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD platforms.
  • Ability to fight fires at scale, wrestle with lost instances on Azure/AWS, and can troubleshoot awry processes and servers with your eyes closed.
  • Extensive AWS and/or Azure cloud management experience.
  • You know at least one language well, and enjoy writing code.
  • Extremely proficient with the Unix command line, shell scripting, and configuring systems monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of all things networking: TCP / IP, ICMP, SSH, DNS, HTTP, SSL / TLS.
  • Knowledge of storage systems, RAID, distributed file systems, HDFS, NFS, iSCSI / CIFS.
  • You have experience with configuration management, monitoring, and automation tools.
  • Working knowledge of firewalls, VPN, routing, switching, load balancing, security, and DNS.
  • Ability to compile and install Unix / Linux applications from source, test, and create package managed versions of such.
  • You have a strong desire and ability to learn quickly.
  • You are excited about providing services that affect millions of users at the world\'s largest companies.
  • You have strong communication skills.
  • A degree in computer science, or similar, is an added plus!
