WGL - Senior Security Specialist
Are you ready for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Security team as our Senior Security Specialist!

Position Summary
The Security Intelligence Specialist provides support in enhancing the safety and security of personnel and assets through the company. The position leverages intelligence from multiple sources to provide situational awareness and analysis that delivers information and actionable security intelligence to the team. As part of the Security Operations Center, this position serves as a point of intake and escalation of security issues reported. This position monitors events in real-time and assesses the real or potential impact to personnel, property, and assets.

You Will:

• Administer facility access system (Kastle and Galaxy), controlling physical access to sites.
• Administer security video management systems for all sites.
• Serve as a liaison with security services contractor to ensure efficient operation of a 24x7 US Utilities based Security Operations Center.
• Monitor, collect, and analyze information from a variety of sources about potential risk and threats to company personnel and assets.
• Support the production and dissemination of reports, travel briefs, threat assessments, and recurring updates.
• Escalate and collaborate with pertinent information to critical business leaders.
• Liaise with local, state, and federal law enforcement and emergency management agencies to obtain current, region-specific intelligence for stakeholders.
• Coordinate work order completion with security systems.
• May lead or direct the work of others.

You Have:

• Bachelor\'s Degree preferred
• 3+ Years related work experience required
• Proven organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate data, compile statistics and prepare reports, graphs, tables, and charts.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
• Good working knowledge of spreadsheet applications and various personal computer business software applications presently used by the Company. Ability to learn new applications.
• Designation as a Physical Security Professional (PSP) or ability to obtain.
• Ability to obtain security clearances from Federal, State and Local authorities.
• Thorough knowledge of threat intelligence and critical infrastructure assessment.
• Experience working in a security operations center (SOC), or fusion center is a plus.
• Familiarity with Everbridge Visual Command Center is a plus.
• Foundational knowledge on security focused technology including access control and video monitoring systems.

• Must maintain a safe environment for co-workers, customers, and the public trough adherence to established safety standards and timely reporting of potential hazards.
• Must adhere to Company policies and procedures related to the code of business ethics, compliance, responsible use of Company assets, and all applicable state and federal laws.
• Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves sitting at a desk and operating personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Duties may also involve occasional bending, stooping, and lifting of up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Occasional travel to various worksites may also be required, depending on assignment. May review interior and exterior work locations that involve hazardous environments requiring personal protective equipment and some physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, and noise. May be required to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and in adverse weather conditions.
