Job Description


We are currently seeking a Wetland Specialist to join our team based out of our Edmonton or Whitecourt office. This is a full-time permanent position that is focused on wetland surveys, regulatory applications and related projects. Project work is remote, team based, safety driven and is completed for the energy and forest sectors throughout the province.

Position Accountabilities

  • This position is accountable for safe and efficient project work;
  • Lead and manage project deliverables and working relationships with Woodlands\' peers, management and clients;
  • Assist the Operation Manager with the scheduling and management of projects.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable in current best management practices and regulatory requirements for wetland assessments and applications;
  • University Degree or technical diploma is required in Environmental, Earth Science, Forestry, Biology, Engineering, Geomatics or Surveying;
  • Qualified Wetlands Science Practitioner with professional registration in one of Alberta\'s Professional Regulatory Organizations;
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, quality, safety and customer service focus.
