Has a strong focus on understanding our customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs and preferences is critical to success in this role. We have a passion for customers/retail industry and are looking for a Merchant who will thrive in a fast paced environment by taking ownership of their portfolio, has a passion for their business and a desire to grow the liquor category collaboratively.What you\'ll do:Analyze and recommend new NG items and items to discontinueConduct post-mortem review of category performanceWork with space planning team and assess/rebuild planogramsSAP Pricing, Costing, and Assortment and Article CreationPromotional Planning and ExecutionReceive flyer schedule and discuss planned promotional detailsSelect ad items, perform flyer proof and implement ad changesCreate forecasts for ad itemsRecommend promotional pricing for ad itemsConduct post ad performance analysisManage promotional costs with the vendorPreparing weekly distribution for promotionsAnalyze and determine regular shelf priceReview competitive pricingConduct pricing research to ensure alignment with category strategy, including control brandsPerform Costing analysisSupport negotiations with vendors for in-line businessMaintain promotional price at store level to ensure store profitabilityWork with Merchandising Operations on store merchandising plansPrepare and send out store communications (store training materials, store merchandising standards, product and supply updates)Vendor and Inventory Management (where required)Screen and review vendor submissionsConduct vendor meetings to discuss assortment, planning and store visitsParticipate with weekly huddles with all locations and provide updates as requiredScreen and review vendor submissionsConduct vendor meetings to discuss assortment, planning and store visitsReview and action on inventory issuesCompile market data with VendorCoordinate in-store tastings with VendorWhat you bring:Post-secondary education or equivalent experience1 to 3 years merchandising experienceProven ability to contribute to category plans in-line with corporate strategiesGood communication and organizational skillsAbility to price, cost, assort items, create articles and upload templates in SAPProven Analytical experienceProficient with MS Office (specifically Excel)Our commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
