This job posting is for an existing vacancy and is intended to fill a current position within our organization.



We are currently looking for a Wellness Manager to join our team of committed professionals. This full-time summer contract position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario's YMCA John Island Camp location in Spanish, Ontario.

Under the leadership of the Assistant Camp Director and General Manager of John Island Camp, the Wellness Manager is responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing of all campers and staff throughout their time in programs at John Island Camp. They are responsible to check in with all campers and staff upon arrival and prior to departure and manage any first aid or wellness related incidents with all campers and staff.

RATE OF PAY:

$750.00 - $840.00 per week



SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Completed a minimum of 3 years in nursing in a college or university programfor education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES with their application
Experience with administering various medication, providing primary care to camper aged children and young adults, and promoting health and wellness related engagement while at camp Current Standard First Aid and CPR C Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills Current and Satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct check ins with parents and campers which includes seeing all campers on the first day and prior to the last day of camp Asses all medical needs on site along with treatment in consultation with the on-call physician Ensure all first aid kits are stocked appropriately which includes on site and Outtrips Maintain documentation and summary reports for medication administration and Wellness Centre visits Complete the daily living accommodation rounds Perform cleaning tasks to ensure the cleanliness of the Wellness Centre
