Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)
The Wellness Assistant plays a key role in ensuring a positive experience for all patrons by providing exceptional customer service, assisting with event execution, managing access through the Fusion software system, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the facility. This position is responsible for the coordination of wellness services and will be the first point of contact for wellness related questions and inquiries.
Job Duties:
Customer Service:
Educate new patrons on available services, membership options, centre access procedures, and facility layout.
Assist current patrons by enforcing facility rules, guiding them to available equipment, and ensuring they are aware of all services.
Provide general support to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Event Support:
Assist in the execution of events, often in collaboration with Student Experience, to enhance campus wellness initiatives.
Facility Access & Software Management:
Manage the Fusion software system for door access and troubleshoot/reset the system as needed.
Cleaning & Organization:
Perform routine cleaning of equipment, floors, and facility areas not covered under the Facilities Cleaning contract.
Ensure all equipment is properly organized and returned to its designated place.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
Preference will be given to current Saskatchewan Polytechnic students in good standing.
Minimum six (6) months' customer service experience. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working with health, wellness and fitness programming service providers.
Basic computer proficiency to navigate and troubleshoot the Fusion software system.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patrons and staff.
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support a positive fitness environment.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple and competing priorities in a highly visible service area.
Demonstrates valuing diversity.
