Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

Weld Supervisor

to oversee our welding department and lead a team of welders. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, coach, train and support a team of welders on sheet metal & stainless jobs Oversee robot welder Review inventory to ensure all necessary product is available Schedule and assign daily work tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet quality standards. Monitor weld quality and adherence to welding procedures, codes, and specifications. Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Collaborate with production management, engineering, and quality teams to address issues and optimize workflow. Provide training and mentoring to team members to build skills and encourage continuous improvement. Maintain records of production, attendance, and performance.

Qualifications:

5+ years of welding experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead hand role. Strong knowledge of welding processes and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., CWB, AWS). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality. Certification in welding (e.g., CWB, Red Seal) considered an asset.
