Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead our welding team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanic knowledge and possess a CWB Welding Supervisor certificate for either W47.1 or W47.2 or both. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality production standards, maintaining safety protocols, quality control & welding procedures.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the welding team to ensure efficient workflow. Train and mentor team members on welding techniques, safety practices, and equipment operation. Review and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements. Oversee the setup and operation of welding equipment, including plasma cutting tools. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to industry standards and specifications. Maintain accurate records of production output, equipment maintenance, and CWB audits & documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes. Ensure compliance with CWB regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a welding or manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in various welding techniques. Familiarity with plasma cutting, machining processes, and the use of hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints effectively. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.09-$44.86 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
